The two frontmen played Pearl Jam’s “Nothingman,” Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over,” and Patti Smith’s “People Have The Power.”

Global Citizen Foundation which strives to end extreme poverty in the world by 2030 held the annual Global Citizen Festival at the Central Garden in New York on September 24th, 2016. The festival which is curated by Chris Martin himself managed to rope in a star-studded lineup compromising of Demi Lovato, Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Rihanna, Major Lazer along with special guests like Usher, Eddie Vedder, Ellie Goulding and much more. Our desi girl Priyanka Chopra was India’s representative at the event, and she officially announced the Indian edition of the Global Citizen Festival which is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on the 19th of November, 2016.

Coldplay shall be headlining the Global Citizen Festival in India along with American rapper Jay-Z, AR Rahman along with a plethora of Bollywood stars which include Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan and much more.

The majority of tickets for the festival are free, and you can earn your tickets by taking actions such as calling lawmakers and sharing petitions on issues like health, hunger, water, and women’s rights.
